Candidate Statement:

I have been a part of Newcastle University Women in Engineering society since my first semester in 2021, first as a Project Officer and now as Events Manager. Arranging events that have an impact and provide positive experiences are the forefront of my passion for contributing to the community at UoN.

Being a kitchen and delivery volunteer at Meals on Wheels for the past year has provided me with growth of understanding for the human experiences. This in conjunction with my role as a batyr university executive has developed my ability to listen and communicate significantly. Furthermore, expanding my world view and understanding of others. 

I have also explored leadership, communication and teamwork skills from my current employment in industry as a Geologist. 

I believe these roles has prepared me to undertake SRC responsibilities as well as the ability to contribute empathetically. 

I would love the opportunity to support, convey and amplify the student voice with care and commitment.
