Why this role?
I want to have an active role on the UNSA SRC to make sure students have the most quality student experience on campus. I would fill this role as a reliable, energetic, and strong voice for UON students.
My Experience
I had an SRC role as Vice-President of Education which allowed me to develop effective leadership skills by representing students through advocacy. I have had executive positions on the UNBCA and UON SVDP committee. I had work experience at Burke and Mead Lawyers which demonstrates efficiency with administrative work and professionalism. I have volunteered at Activ8, Mum’s Cottage, DARA Van, SVDP and Mission to Seafarers. Working with these agencies will greatly assist the VP Experience and Engagement role as it requires effective interpersonal and communication skills.
What do you hope to achieve for UON Students?
I hope to liaise with clubs, societies, and stakeholders at the university to make sure student voices are being heard and help make positive change through transparency and being proactive. I am passionate about students making the most of their university experience so will work with the SRC to organise valuable and fun events, implement innovative initiatives and be a reliable advocate for students.
